Each crystal-clear, polystyrene step rack can display up to two dozen 1.5 or 2mL conical microtubes. The 7.62 x 20.32cm stepped-well format allows the simultaneous viewing of all tubes and their contents. Polystyrene has good chemical resistance to aqueous soloutions, alcohols, and mineral oils, allowing this low cost unit to also be used as a liquid work station. Each well has a nominal capacity of 1.5 or 2mL. Each sample row is numbered 1 to 8.

The workstation is available as an each 16 x 60.96cm well rack for individual use, or in combination as 48-, 72-, or 96-placed stacked units in a 20.32 x 30.48cm format.
